Programs

We offer four programs to best fit your dance needs. It is our honor to share your dance journey with you in the way that best suits you.

Our Children’s & Recreational Programs:

Ballet

As this is the foundation for all dance forms, we strongly recommend dancers begin their training in this discipline of dance.

3 and 4 year olds begin in our Creative Movement program. They will finish having received a great foundation to all forms of dance in a creative, fun, inspiring environment.
Experienced 4 year olds, and our 5 and 6 year olds enter our Children’s Ballet program - Levels 1 and 2 to match each child’s age and experience.
7-9 year olds enter our Continuing Level. Also offered in Levels 1 and 2 to match each child’s age and experience.
Once in 5th grade, dancers enter our Upper Elementary program where work begins on the Cecchetti Exam Syllabus. From there, dancers are placed by age into our Middle School Programs and on into our High School Programs.

Tap

Exploration of rhythm and instrumentation – dancers receive great experience understanding musicality through their tap education. Dancers may begin this discipline at age 4.

Middle/High School Lyrical – 6th grade and up - dancers will be placed based on age and experience

Continuing Hip Hop – 2nd-5th grades - dancers will be placed based on experience
Middle/High School Hip Hop – 6th grade and up - dancers will be placed based on age and experience

PERFORMING ARTS DANCE THEATER

Our company in residence, Performing Arts Dance Theater, was founded to provide serious dancers with more intense training and performance opportunities. We offer dancers the opportunity to perform for and train with professional teachers from all over the country. Some of our dancers are now performing in Europe, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, and all over the Midwest. Several have gone on to study at professional ballet schools and dance universities, and pursued careers performing in professional companies, cruise ships, commercials and videos, or as dance teachers and choreographers. Dancers are admitted into PADT by an audition process that occurs every spring.
